Scoop ? Top 10 wage earners at Sierra College: PE, softball ...

A California state-run website that tracks state and local government employee compensation relaunched this week, and for the first time, it included wages and benefit data for 69 of the state?s 72 community college districts.

At the Sierra Joint Community College District, the vice president of student services earns $184,206 annually in total wages, topping the list, according to the website.

?CIS Instructor 175? ranks third at $147,657; ?Geology Instructor 175? ranks fifth at $143,004; ?PE Instructor 175? earns $138,144; ?Philosophy Instructor 175? makes $138,137; ?Math Instructor 175? is at $137,955; and ?Women Softball Coach 190? rounds out the top 10 list at $137,226.

The top 10 also includes ?Assessment Outreach Coord 190,? which makes $140,438.

The full list is here.

I also have PDFs for:

Our county: EmployeeDetailByType

Our local government entities: EntitiesInCounty

Grass Valley: EmployeeDetailByType-1

Nevada City: EmployeeDetailByType-3 (Among the top three, the Finance & HR Director has $78,379 in annual total wages, behind the Fire Chief and Police Sergeant).

NID: EmployeeDetailByType-2

The State Controller?s Office, which maintains the site, says it includes the latest state and local compensation data available ? 2011 for state and higher education, 2010 for cities, counties and special districts.

The public employee salary data collected and published by the Controller?s Office is based on unaudited information as received from the local and state government offices.

Unlike The Bee?s state pay database, however, the SCO?s data doesn?t include the names of individual employees.

Now that it?s also included in the database, you can bet the community college data will get more scrtiny.
